Join Coherent as a Senior Buyer - Supply Chain in Bali and play a pivotal role in optimizing our procurement processes. This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our Oracle Purchasing and Receiving System, ensuring seamless vendor management, and driving efficiency in material procurement. Responsibility
- Manage and maintain the Oracle Purchasing and Receiving System, including new vendor entries, consumable and raw material part entries, and system updates.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to optimize stock and prevent shortages or excesses.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Resolve procurement-related issues and ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier metrics to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with Oracle ERP systems or similar procurement software.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills with a track record of cost savings.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize procurement processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools for reporting and forecasting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and just-in-time (JIT) inventory principles is a plus.
