Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage import/export shipping operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines to optimize logistics processes.
- Monitor and track shipments, resolving any delays or issues that may arise.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast shipping needs and manage inventory levels.
- Negotiate freight rates and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on shipping activities and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and incoterms.
- Proficient in using logistics software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
