Responsibility

  • Lead the end-to-end commercial insurance broking process, from client acquisition to policy placement and renewal.
  • Develop and manage SME insurance schemes, ensuring competitive pricing and comprehensive coverage.
  • Drive client retention and growth through proactive relationship management and upselling strategies.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, insurers, and internal teams to negotiate optimal terms and conditions for clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities in the commercial insurance sector.
  • Prepare and present customized insurance proposals tailored to client needs and business objectives.
  • Mentor and train junior brokers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all broking activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CII, ANZIIF) are a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance broking, with a focus on SME clients.
  • Proven track record in business development, client acquisition, and portfolio growth.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and verbal) is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex insurance needs and design tailored solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in insurance broking software and CRM tools.
  • Deep understanding of commercial insurance products (e.g., property, liability, marine, cyber).
