Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end commercial insurance broking process, from client acquisition to policy placement and renewal.
- Develop and manage SME insurance schemes, ensuring competitive pricing and comprehensive coverage.
- Drive client retention and growth through proactive relationship management and upselling strategies.
- Collaborate with underwriters, insurers, and internal teams to negotiate optimal terms and conditions for clients.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities in the commercial insurance sector.
- Prepare and present customized insurance proposals tailored to client needs and business objectives.
- Mentor and train junior brokers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all broking activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CII, ANZIIF) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance broking, with a focus on SME clients.
- Proven track record in business development, client acquisition, and portfolio growth.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and verbal) is mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex insurance needs and design tailored solutions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in insurance broking software and CRM tools.
- Deep understanding of commercial insurance products (e.g., property, liability, marine, cyber).
