Responsibility
- Record and classify daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis to ensure consistency and identify discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for management review.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to provide necessary documentation and support during audits and tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and other statutory requirements in Indonesia.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of Indonesian tax regulations, including VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and corporate tax compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a remote work environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience working with international teams or in a remote setting is highly desirable.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
