job description
Join Gamuda Group, a global leader in construction and infrastructure development, as a Senior BIM Engineer in the vibrant heart of Bali, Indonesia. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) to drive innovation in architectural and structural coordination for high-impact projects.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in transforming conceptual designs into precise 3D models and technical drawings, ensuring seamless collaboration between Civil & Structural (C&S) and Architecture teams. Your work will directly contribute to the efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability of world-class construction projects in one of Asia’s most dynamic regions.
Based in Canggu—a hub for digital nomads and creative professionals—you’ll thrive in a collaborative environment that values cutting-edge technology and forward-thinking solutions. Whether you're coordinating on-site implementations or refining BIM workflows, your expertise will shape the future of smart construction.
Responsibility
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP systems using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD).
- Collaborate with C&S engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure model accuracy and alignment with design intent.
- Generate and review construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation from BIM models.
- Conduct clash detection and coordination to resolve conflicts between disciplines before construction begins.
- Provide on-site support to interpret BIM models for construction teams and troubleshoot implementation challenges.
- Implement BIM execution plans (BEP) and standards to ensure consistency across projects.
- Train and mentor junior staff on BIM best practices, tools, and workflows.
- Stay updated with emerging BIM technologies (e.g., AI integration, VR/AR) and propose innovations to enhance project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in BIM modeling for large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360; familiarity with ArchiCAD or Tekla is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, structural systems, and MEP coordination.
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working in international or culturally diverse environments is preferred.
- Certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is highly desirable.
