Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste, temperature, and presentation
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, understanding their preferences, and offering personalized coffee recommendations
- Train and mentor junior baristas on proper techniques, coffee knowledge, and customer service best practices
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, and communicate needs to management
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and special events
- Stay updated on coffee trends, new brewing methods, and industry developments to continuously improve our offerings
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional barista experience, preferably in specialty coffee or high-volume café environments
- Proven expertise in espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art techniques
- Strong knowledge of coffee origins, roasting profiles, and brewing methods (e.g., V60, Chemex, AeroPress, Cold Brew)
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with international guests
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience training and supervising junior staff is highly desirable
- Certification in barista skills (e.g., SCA, Barista Guild) is a plus
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by the hospitality industry
