Responsibility
- Assist chefs with ingredient preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas, adhering to food safety standards
- Organize and stock kitchen supplies, utensils, and equipment
- Support in basic cooking tasks under supervision (e.g., prepping sauces, marinades, or simple dishes)
- Ensure timely setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service
- Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup duties as needed
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines accurately
- Report any supply shortages or equipment malfunctions to the head chef
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment (preferred but not required)
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 15 kg
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in basic English (Indonesian language skills are a plus)
