Responsibility

  • Oversee daily production of high-quality breads, pastries, and artisanal baked goods.
  • Ensure consistency in product quality, texture, and presentation according to company recipes and standards.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw ingredients and assist with ordering to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic workspace in compliance with food safety regulations (SFA standards).
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and bakery assistants on techniques and equipment operation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot oven temperatures and proofing times to ensure perfect bake results.
  • Contribute to menu development and experiment with new, seasonal, or innovative flavour profiles.
  • Manage the overall workflow of the baking station to ensure all products are ready for service on time.

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in a bakery, café, or high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Proven expertise in bread lamination, dough handling, and patisserie techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and health regulations.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards under pressure.
  • Good command of English; ability to work effectively within a team setting.
  • Relevant certification in Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry is highly preferred but not mandatory if sufficient experience is demonstrated.
