Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for data ingestion, processing, and storage.
- Optimize ETL pipelines to ensure high performance, low latency, and fault tolerance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and frontend engineers to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
- Implement real-time data streaming architectures (e.g., Kafka, Flink) to support business-critical applications.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and governance across all systems (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Monitor and troubleshoot distributed systems to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Lead code reviews, architectural discussions, and best practice adoption within the team.
- Research and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML for data optimization) to enhance system capabilities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of backend development experience, with a focus on data-intensive applications.
- Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python and experience with distributed systems (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Strong knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Redis).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with big data tools (Hive, Presto, Airflow) and streaming frameworks (Kafka, Pulsar).
- Understanding of data security principles and compliance standards (e.g., encryption, access control).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex, large-scale systems.
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
