Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation systems to enhance manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and IT, to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of automated equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues in automation systems to minimize downtime and maintain production targets.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for automation projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in automation, Industry 4.0, and IoT, and recommend adoption where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all automation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. A Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar), SCADA systems, and HMI development.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA).
- Experience with robotics, motion control, and vision systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT, and data analytics for process optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members.
- Certifications in automation (e.g., Siemens Certified Programmer, Rockwell Automation) are a plus.
