Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and maintain PVD, CVD, Etch, Lithography, Clean, Diffusion, and Implant processes to improve wafer yields and manufacturing efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for process deviations and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and defects.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to introduce and validate new processes and technologies.
- Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, providing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in all process operations.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Participate in cross-fab initiatives to standardize processes and share best practices across GlobalFoundriesâ global operations.
- Document process specifications, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and reproducibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in semiconductor process engineering (for Senior role) or 1+ years (for Associate role), with hands-on experience in PVD, CVD, Etch, Lithography, or related processes.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing principles, process control, and yield enhancement techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Python, Excel, or Minitab) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of implementing process improvements.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and adhere to strict safety protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with DOE (Design of Experiments), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
