In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for faculty, staff, and research personnel. Responsibility

  • Process and manage end-to-end monthly payroll for employees, including faculty, staff, and research personnel, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Administer employee benefits, including allowances, deductions, and statutory contributions (e.g., BPJS, taxes).
  • Handle research grant payroll activities, including stipends, honoraria, and project-based compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with Indonesian labor laws, tax regulations, and SUTD’s internal payroll policies.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports for management, audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll software systems, including data entry, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide payroll-related support to employees, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPP, IPMA) are a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a higher education, multinational, or research institution.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SAP, Workday, or local Indonesian systems) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with research grant payroll or international payroll processing is highly desirable.
