Responsibility
- Design and implement advanced security features for Android's trust infrastructure, protecting billions of devices worldwide
- Develop AI-powered security solutions to detect and prevent emerging cyber threats in real-time
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices across Android's ecosystem
- Conduct security reviews and vulnerability assessments for new Android features and third-party integrations
- Research and prototype innovative security technologies to stay ahead of evolving threat landscapes
- Optimize security systems for performance and scalability across diverse device types and markets
- Create technical documentation and security guidelines for internal teams and external developers
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Google's security knowledge base
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional Android development experience with a strong focus on security
- Proven expertise in Java/Kotlin and Android security frameworks (SELinux, Keystore, etc.)
- Experience with AI/ML applications in cybersecurity (threat detection, anomaly analysis, etc.)
- Deep understanding of cryptographic principles and secure authentication systems
- Familiarity with mobile threat landscapes and common attack vectors (phishing, malware, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in complex, distributed systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
