Responsibility
- Design, simulate, and optimize analog and mixed-signal circuits (e.g., PLLs, ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, bias circuits) for high-performance ICs.
- Lead full-chip integration from schematic entry to tape-out, ensuring compliance with power, performance, and area (PPA) targets.
- Collaborate with layout engineers to implement robust, manufacturable designs with attention to parasitics and ESD protection.
- Develop and validate test benches and verification methodologies for analog blocks using tools like Spectre, ADE, or Verilog-A.
- Perform post-silicon validation and debug issues, working closely with testing and product teams.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in semiconductor process nodes (e.g., FinFET, advanced CMOS) and apply best practices to design.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design guidelines and documentation for reusable IP blocks.
- Work cross-functionally with digital, RF, and system teams to ensure seamless integration of analog subsystems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design, with a proven track record of tape-outs in advanced nodes (28nm or below preferred).
- Expertise in circuit simulation tools (Cadence Spectre, ADE, Virtuoso) and scripting (Python, SKILL).
- Deep understanding of CMOS analog design fundamentals, including noise, matching, stability, and power efficiency.
- Experience with high-speed serial interfaces (e.g., SerDes, PCIe) or data converters (ADCs/DACs) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with layout-dependent effects (LDE) and parasitic extraction (PEX) tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex silicon issues in lab environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global, multicultural team.
