Join a critical environmental initiative as an Inspector of Works (IOW) for a high-impact 24-month landfill closure project in Bali. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainable waste management while overseeing site operations with precision and expertise.
As the IOW, you will ensure compliance with engineering standards, environmental regulations, and project specifications. Responsibility
- Oversee daily site operations to ensure adherence to project plans, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of construction activities, materials, and workmanship to verify compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines.
- Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports, including progress updates, non-compliance findings, and corrective actions.
- Monitor budget allocations and resource utilization to optimize project efficiency.
- Ensure all works meet quality standards and obtain necessary approvals from regulatory bodies.
- Liaise with local authorities and community stakeholders to address concerns and maintain transparent communication.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential delays or safety hazards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in site supervision, preferably in landfill, waste management, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in project inspection, compliance monitoring, and contractor coordination.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, safety standards (OSHA, local laws), and engineering best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly advantageous.
- Willingness to relocate to Badung, Bali for the project duration.
