Responsibility
- Manage and execute daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of financial books and records in compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Prepare and file statutory reports (BIR, SEC, and other Philippine regulatory requirements) on schedule.
- Conduct monthly and yearly financial closings, including reconciliations and adjustments.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
- Monitor and ensure tax compliance, including VAT, withholding taxes, and corporate income tax filings.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes and resolutions.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA license is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in audit support and financial process improvements is highly desirable.
