Join Remote Staff as an Accounts Payable and Reconciliation Specialist and play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy during our transition from Simpro to Xero. This is a unique opportunity for detail-oriented professionals to contribute to a dynamic accounting team while working in the vibrant locations of Bali, Indonesia (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, or surrounding areas).
In this role, you will manage vendor payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain meticulous financial records. Your expertise will help streamline our accounting processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency. As part of our global team, you’ll collaborate with international stakeholders while enjoying the flexibility of a remote-first environment with local office options.
Note: Applicants must prepare government-issued IDs (TIN, SSS, Philhealth, Pag-IBIG) for verification as part of the onboarding process.
Responsibility
- Process and verify vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in Simpro and Xero.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy across systems.
- Assist in the migration of financial data from Simpro to Xero, including historical records and ongoing transactions.
- Monitor accounts payable aging and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal teams.
- Prepare and distribute payment batches while adhering to approval workflows and deadlines.
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for all financial documents and audit trails.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing inquiries and improve AP processes.
- Generate financial reports (e.g., AP aging, cash flow) for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or partial qualification is a plus.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, reconciliation, or general accounting.
- Proficient in Xero (mandatory) and Simpro (highly preferred); experience with other ERP systems is a bonus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in large datasets.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Philippine tax compliance (TIN, SSS, etc.) and basic payroll processes.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
