Responsibility
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory obligations in compliance with Indonesian regulations.
- Oversee the end-to-end accounting process, including general ledger maintenance, month-end and year-end closings, and financial statement preparation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure tax efficiency and alignment with business operations, identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Liaison with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth audits and compliance reviews.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant and adapts to new requirements.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities while maximizing financial performance.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for all tax and accounting records, ensuring audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or Brevet A/B) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and tax roles, with at least 2 years focused on corporate tax compliance in Indonesia.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, including VAT, corporate income tax, and withholding tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
