Responsibility
- Lead daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes for European entities.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) to support decision-making and compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards.
- Ensure regulatory compliance for European markets, including VAT, tax filings, and audit readiness in collaboration with external advisors.
- Optimize finance operations by identifying process improvements, automating workflows, and implementing best practices.
- Manage client and vendor relationships in Europe, including invoicing, payment processing, and contract reviews.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for European business units, providing insights to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Operations) to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Stay updated on European financial regulations and industry trends to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/ACCA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, with 2+ years in a senior or regional role.
- Proven expertise in IFRS/GAAP and multi-country financial compliance (European markets preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English (additional European languages are a bonus).
- Experience working in international or remote teams, with a self-driven, results-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with financial forecasting tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Hyperion) and process automation.
