Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of security engineers to develop and enforce security best practices for Google’s SaaS products.
- Design and implement scalable security architectures to protect enterprise data and applications.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Develop incident response plans and lead investigations for security breaches or anomalies.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats by researching and adopting advanced security technologies (e.g., zero-trust models, AI-driven threat detection).
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to global data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Drive security awareness programs and training for internal stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in security engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Deep expertise in SaaS security, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure), and identity/access management (IAM).
- Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, WAF, DLP) and scripting languages (Python, Go, or Bash).
- Strong understanding of cryptography, network security, and secure coding practices.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-grade security solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or OSCP) are a plus.
