Responsibility
- Lead and supervise a team of staff in the meat and seafood department, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and storage regulations at all times.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to enhance product display and boost sales.
- Train and mentor staff on product knowledge, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and maintain a positive shopping experience.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve store-wide targets and promotions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales performance, inventory, and team productivity.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in retail, preferably in a supervisory role within a meat/seafood or fresh produce department.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to motivate staff.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and inventory management.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required in retail.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking, reporting, and POS systems.
- Certification in food handling or HACCP is a plus.
- Passion for retail and a customer-first mindset.
