Responsibility
- Oversee and manage the work schedules of engine room personnel.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of the vessel's machinery, auxiliaries, and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of engine room systems.
- Monitor and maintain the vessel's fuel, lubrication, and cooling systems.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime safety and environmental regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of emergency drills and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of engine room operations and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to plan and execute maintenance and repair tasks.
Qualifications
- Valid STCW certification as a Second Engineer.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Second Engineer on LPG Tankers or similar vessels.
- Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with international maritime regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team environment.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Willingness to work on a rotational basis and travel internationally.
