Responsibility
- Develop and execute trading strategies for commodities, logistics, and supply chain solutions in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitive opportunities.
- Negotiate and finalize high-value contracts with suppliers, buyers, and logistics partners to optimize margins and ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor and manage trading portfolios, including risk assessment, hedging strategies, and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless transaction execution and regulatory adherence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, brokers, and industry associations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on trading performance, market outlook, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
- Stay abreast of geopolitical, economic, and industry-specific factors impacting global trade dynamics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in trading, commodities, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a multinational corporation.
- Proven track record in negotiating and closing high-value deals in international markets.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, market data tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters), and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders across cultures and time zones.
- Deep understanding of trade compliance, incoterms, and international shipping regulations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a results-driven mindset.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Mandarin or other Asian languages is advantageous.
