Responsibility
- Develop and execute regional medical affairs strategies for iron deficiency and challenged growth portfolios, aligning with global guidelines and local market needs.
- Lead scientific engagement with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and academic institutions to establish Danone as a trusted partner in pediatric and maternal nutrition.
- Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Regulatory teams to ensure medical accuracy in product claims, labeling, and promotional materials.
- Drive medical education initiatives, including symposia, advisory boards, and digital content, to elevate clinical awareness of nutrition interventions.
- Monitor and analyze emerging scientific trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes to inform business decisions.
- Provide medical training and support to sales teams, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based communication with customers.
- Oversee clinical study design and execution in collaboration with external partners, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
- Act as the medical conscience of the business, ensuring all activities adhere to Danone’s code of conduct and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD), Pharmacist, or Nutritionist with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in medical affairs, clinical research, or a related field.
- Proven track record in pediatric/maternal nutrition, hematology, or iron deficiency management within the pharmaceutical or nutrition industry.
- Strong scientific communication skills, with experience presenting complex data to diverse audiences (HCP, regulators, internal teams).
- Deep understanding of SEA healthcare systems, regulatory environments, and cultural nuances in medical engagement.
- Experience in cross-functional leadership, managing projects across multiple countries and stakeholders.
- Fluency in English (mandatory); additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Malay) are a plus.
- Strategic thinker with analytical capabilities to interpret market data and scientific literature.
- Ability to travel 30-40% across Southeast Asia as required.
