Responsibility
- Administer, monitor, and maintain SAP Basis systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, etc.) to ensure high availability and performance.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime, following ITIL best practices.
- Manage user access, roles, and authorizations in SAP systems, ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP system issues, including performance bottlenecks, database errors, and interface failures.
- Collaborate with development and functional teams to support SAP transport management (STMS) and change control processes.
- Optimize system resources, including memory, CPU, and disk usage, to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures for SAP environments.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions for knowledge sharing and audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate) are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, including system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in SAP NetWeaver, HANA, SolMan, and OS/DB administration (Oracle, SQL Server, or SAP HANA).
- Strong knowledge of SAP transport management (STMS), client administration, and user management.
- Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows server environments, scripting (Shell, PowerShell), and automation tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and SAP on cloud deployments is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 support environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
