The Municipal Government of Balabagan, Lanao Del Sur is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Inspector I to join our local health services team. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of the Balabagan community through diligent inspection, regulatory enforcement, and public health education.
As a Sanitation Inspector, you will be on the front lines of public health, ensuring that local establishments, water sources, and waste management systems comply with the Sanitary Code of the Philippines. Responsibility
- Conduct regular inspections of food establishments, water supply systems, and public facilities to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate waste management practices to prevent environmental health hazards.
- Issue citations and notices of violation to establishments failing to meet municipal sanitary standards.
- Coordinate with local health offices to implement community-wide sanitation programs and health awareness campaigns.
- Collect and analyze water samples for laboratory testing to ensure potable water safety.
- Prepare accurate, timely, and detailed inspection reports for municipal health authorities.
- Provide technical assistance and education to business owners regarding proper sanitation protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, Sanitary Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant Civil Service Eligibility (Sub-professional or Professional) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Code on Sanitation of the Philippines (PD 856).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with local business owners and community members.
- Must be detail-oriented, with high ethical standards and integrity.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment within the BARMM region.
- Willingness to perform field work and travel within the municipality.
