As a Sales Engineer, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering requirements and commercial solutions. You will be responsible for identifying project opportunities, providing technical consultations, and managing the end-to-end sales process. Responsibility

  • Identify and penetrate new project opportunities within the local infrastructure and building services sectors.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations on pipe system materials to consultants, contractors, and developers.
  • Prepare comprehensive project quotations, manage tender submissions, and conduct diligent follow-ups to secure contracts.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the engineering industry.
  • Collaborate with the internal procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to highlight the value proposition of our engineering solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify potential growth areas for the business.
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates on the project pipeline to the management team.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in project sales, preferably within the piping or building materials industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of fluid handling systems, valves, and piping materials.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working independently under tight project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using CRM systems for lead management.
  • A valid Class 3 driving license and possession of a personal vehicle is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
