Responsibility
- Monitor and assess the safety attitudes and behaviors of workers throughout each shift to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings to reinforce safety protocols, address potential hazards, and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Perform regular site inspections to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring all equipment, machinery, and work areas adhere to safety guidelines.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, compiling detailed reports and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, emergency response procedures, and evacuation drills in coordination with project managers.
- Ensure all workers are equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and trained on its proper use.
- Liaise with local authorities, clients, and third-party auditors to ensure compliance with Indonesian occupational health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incidents, and corrective actions for auditing and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety supervision role within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian labor laws, construction safety regulations, and international safety standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to conduct training sessions and enforce policies effectively.
- Proficient in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with construction processes, equipment, and hazards associated with large-scale projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, while maintaining a high level of vigilance and professionalism.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is preferred; additional languages are a plus.
