Responsibility
- Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify measurements, and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to negotiate terms, resolve disputes, and maintain strong working relationships.
- Track and report on project expenditures, providing accurate financial forecasts and variance analysis.
- Review and approve payment certificates, change orders, and claims in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions to optimize project outcomes.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation for auditing, reporting, and future reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., WinQS, Candy) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, tendering processes, and procurement strategies.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with local construction regulations, standards, and best practices in Indonesia is a plus.
