Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety policies and procedures to minimize workplace risks and ensure compliance with Indonesian and international safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and areas for improvement in safety protocols.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide safety training and orientation for new employees, contractors, and site personnel to promote awareness and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Monitor compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and ensure proper usage across all project sites.
- Prepare and submit detailed safety reports, including incident logs, inspection findings, and recommendations for management review.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends in construction safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in the construction industry, preferably in Indonesia or Southeast Asia.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian safety regulations (e.g., K3, Permenaker) and international safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and accident investigations with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and engage diverse teams effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software for reporting and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required; additional languages are a plus.
