Responsibility
- Oversee the daily operations of the motorpool department, including vehicle assignments, maintenance schedules, and fuel management.
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained in optimal condition through regular inspections, servicing, and repairs.
- Manage a team of drivers and maintenance staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, traffic regulations, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance logs, fuel consumption, and expenses.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient transportation support for company operations.
- Develop and implement cost-saving strategies for fleet management, including route optimization and fuel efficiency.
- Handle emergency situations, such as vehicle breakdowns or accidents, with prompt and effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet management, motorpool supervision, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
- Proficient in using fleet management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
