Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with local and international regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and inductions to employees, contractors, and visitors to promote a safety-first culture.
- Monitor and maintain safety equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and readily available.
- Prepare and submit safety reports, including incident reports, inspection logs, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging safety technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of local safety regulations, construction standards, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage with diverse teams.
- Ability to conduct thorough inspections and audits with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in preparing safety documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites across Bali as needed.
