Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in accordance with local and international standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure awareness and compliance with safety protocols.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including permits, licenses, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to integrate safety measures into daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports using digital tools and software.
- Promote a culture of safety by engaging with workers, addressing concerns, and fostering a proactive approach to health and safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards (e.g., Indonesian Ministry of Manpower, OSHA, ISO 45001).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD for creating safety plans and reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and engage workers at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
