Inta Bina Group Berhad is seeking a proactive Safety & Health Officer/Supervisor to join our expanding team in Selangor. You will be responsible for implementing comprehensive safety protocols, ensuring full compliance with DOSH and CIDB regulations, and fostering an environment where every team member returns home safely. We are looking for someone with a strong background in construction safety management, excellent communication skills, and the authority to enforce safety standards across our active project sites.
Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific Safety and Health Management Systems (SHMS).
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
- Lead daily toolbox meetings and deliver safety induction training for new workers and subcontractors.
- Ensure all construction activities strictly adhere to OSH Act 1994, FMA 1967, and relevant CIDB regulations.
- Investigate all workplace accidents, near-misses, and dangerous occurrences, providing detailed reports and preventive measures.
- Manage the maintenance and inspection records of all safety equipment and heavy machinery.
- Collaborate with project managers and site engineers to integrate safety planning into construction workflows.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) or a related engineering field.
- Registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum 2-4 years of working experience in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of local safety legislation, regulations, and site safety management practices.
- Possess a valid Green Card (CIDB) and relevant safety certifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
