Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in accordance with local and international standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead safety training programs to educate employees on best practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of safety equipment.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of production and manufacturing processes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, including reporting and documentation.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement through regular communication and engagement with staff.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions for auditing and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees at all levels.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and tools for reporting and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
