Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead safety training sessions and workshops to educate employees on best practices and emergency procedures.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Stay updated on industry safety trends, regulations, and technologies to ensure continuous improvement.
- Promote a safety-first culture through effective communication and leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety coordination, preferably in the construction industry.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
