As our Safety Coordinator, you will be the guardian of our workplace health and safety (WSH) standards. Responsibility
- Conduct regular on-site safety inspections and audits to ensure strict adherence to WSH regulations and company policies.
- Lead and facilitate safety briefing sessions, including toolbox talks, to keep the team informed on potential hazards.
- Prepare, review, and update Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) for various project phases.
- Investigate any site accidents or near-miss incidents and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain and organize all safety-related documentation, permits, and records for external audits and MOM inspections.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all subcontractors comply with site safety requirements.
- Monitor the usage and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all job sites.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by identifying opportunities for safety improvements and training.
Qualifications
- Possess at least an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH Level B) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in safety coordination, preferably within the construction or AV industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health Act and related subsidiary legislation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with workers and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site locations within the East Region.
- Valid Occupational First Aid certificate is highly advantageous.
