Responsibility
- Develop and manage comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for MEP-focused construction projects, with a preference for data center experience.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project expenditures while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on budgetary constraints and financial objectives.
- Monitor project expenditures, track variances, and implement corrective actions to mitigate cost overruns.
- Prepare and present financial reports, cost breakdowns, and risk assessments to stakeholders and senior management.
- Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and contractual obligations related to cost management.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior cost engineers and support continuous improvement in cost-control processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CCE, PMP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost engineering, with a focus on MEP systems and preferably in data center projects.
- Proven track record of managing budgets exceeding RM 50 million and delivering projects within financial targets.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., Candy, CostX, Primavera) and advanced Excel skills for financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with stakeholders, clients, and vendors effectively.
- Familiarity with international construction standards and best practices in cost management.
- Willingness to relocate or work in Bali, with occasional travel to project sites as required.
