Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead safety training programs and workshops to educate employees on best practices and emergency response protocols.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with management and staff to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in safety compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on safety-related issues and concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in safety compliance, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is a plus.
