Responsibility
- Analyze and interpret customer technical requirements, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOM) to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare and submit detailed RFQ responses and quotations in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with company pricing strategies and profitability goals.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to gather necessary data and validate technical feasibility of proposals.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to ensure quotations are competitive while maintaining margin targets.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure optimal pricing and lead times for materials and services required for projects.
- Maintain and update pricing databases and cost models to reflect current market conditions and internal cost structures.
- Provide technical and commercial support to sales teams during customer presentations and contract negotiations.
- Continuously improve RFQ processes and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in RFQ, cost estimation, or sales engineering, preferably in manufacturing, electronics, or industrial sectors.
- Strong proficiency in reading technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications with attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with the ability to perform cost calculations and financial modeling.
- Proven ability to manage multiple RFQs simultaneously under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a global team.
