Responsibility
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, purchases, and product recommendations.
- Operate cash registers, process transactions accurately, and handle cash and digital payments.
- Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing store layout, including book displays and promotional materials.
- Assist in inventory management, including stocking shelves, conducting audits, and reporting discrepancies.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and store objectives.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, including new book releases, promotions, and store policies.
- Uphold store cleanliness and safety standards to ensure a pleasant shopping environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Proven experience in retail, cashiering, or customer service roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer operations.
