Responsibility
- Operate cash registers and POS systems to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service, including greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving concerns.
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments while ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Assist in estimating product costs, pricing, and promotions as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area to enhance the customer experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to cash handling, returns, and exchanges.
- Upsell products and promotions to meet sales targets while providing genuine value to customers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail or customer service training is a plus.
- Proven experience in a cashier, teller, or retail associate role is preferred but not required.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail for accurate transaction processing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse customer base.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, in a full-time capacity.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
