Responsibility
- Lead and supervise a team of retail associates within your assigned book category, ensuring high performance and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize sales and enhance the visual appeal of your section.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with the procurement team, and ensure stock availability for bestsellers and new releases.
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service and meet sales targets.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote section-specific campaigns, events, or book launches.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting section that aligns with Big Bad Wolf Books’ brand standards.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in retail management, preferably in bookstores or similar customer-focused environments.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, inspire, and manage a team effectively.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, sales analysis, and merchandising techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Passion for books and literature, with the ability to engage customers and recommend titles.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail software is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
