Responsibility
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners, offering expert advice on product selection and care.
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets through proactive engagement and upselling techniques.
- Maintain in-store merchandising standards, including product displays, stock rotation, and inventory management.
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash/credit payments with integrity.
- Collaborate with the team to promote seasonal campaigns and new product launches.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, including features, benefits, and pricing of pet supplies.
- Assist in daily store operations, such as opening/closing procedures, restocking, and maintaining a clean workspace.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in retail sales, customer service, or a related field (pet industry experience is a plus).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mindset.
- Basic proficiency in POS systems and inventory management tools.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Passion for pets and animal welfare (personal pet ownership is a bonus!).
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in sales or retail are advantageous.
