Responsibility
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions, including cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, including counting cash drawers, preparing deposits, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, promotions, and store policies to enhance their shopping experience.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain store operations, including restocking shelves and assisting with inventory management.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to security, loss prevention, and customer service standards.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with store guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred but not required.
