Responsibility
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process customer transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and gift certificates.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Handle multiple payment methods accurately and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Manage and reconcile cash registers, including opening/closing procedures and daily cash balancing.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a welcoming environment for customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a seamless shopping experience.
- Stay updated on promotions, discounts, and store policies to provide accurate information to customers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar retail role, with strong knowledge of POS systems.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills to handle transactions and reconcile cash accurately.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers professionally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various payment terminals and electronic transaction systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints with diplomacy.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
