Responsibility
- Operate POS systems accurately to process customer transactions, including cash, card payments, and gift certificates.
- Handle multiple payment methods efficiently while ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Balance cash drawers at the start and end of shifts, reconciling discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking supplies and ensuring terminal machines are functional.
- Assist in inventory tracking and reporting any discrepancies or technical issues with payment terminals.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours.
- Uphold company standards for security, confidentiality, and data accuracy in all transactions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar retail role, with strong familiarity with POS systems.
- Ability to handle high-volume transactions with speed and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers professionally.
- Basic math and financial literacy to manage cash handling and reconcile daily totals.
- Technical proficiency in operating various terminal machines (e.g., credit card terminals, barcode scanners).
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to resolve transaction discrepancies.
