Responsibility
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking supplies as needed.
- Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments securely and responsibly.
- Resolve customer issues or complaints professionally and escalate to management when necessary.
- Balance cash registers at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory management by reporting low stock levels and participating in stocktaking activities.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; additional retail or customer service experience is a plus.
- Basic numeracy skills and attention to detail to handle transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
