Responsibility
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their purchases, ensuring a welcoming and helpful atmosphere.
- Operate cash registers, process transactions accurately, and handle various payment methods, including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and reconcile daily sales, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist customers with inquiries, product locations, and promotions, offering knowledgeable and friendly support.
- Uphold store policies regarding returns, exchanges, and discounts, resolving customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with essential supplies such as bags, receipts, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of operations during peak hours.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new products, policies, and customer service techniques.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior retail or cashier experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail technologies.
