Responsibility
- Lead and supervise front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless service during peak hours and special events.
- Oversee guest interactions, from reservations to farewell, to guarantee a personalized and memorable dining experience.
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to uphold the highest standards of service, hygiene, and professionalism.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery, maintaining the integrity of Japanese culinary traditions.
- Monitor inventory levels of tableware, linens, and guest amenities, coordinating with suppliers to prevent shortages.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints with diplomacy, resolving issues promptly to maintain our reputation for excellence.
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
- Assist in creating and implementing innovative service initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and drive repeat business.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a fine dining or high-end restaurant, preferably with exposure to Japanese cuisine.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service in fast-paced, luxury hospitality environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team of servers, hosts, and support staff.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Japanese or Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Deep understanding of Japanese dining etiquette, including sushi, sashimi, and omakase service styles.
- Familiarity with POS systems, reservation platforms, and basic inventory management tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, with a high level of stamina for long shifts.
- Certification in food safety or hospitality management (e.g., ServSafe, WSET) is advantageous.
